But the question remains the same as the day before: what else? We undoubtedly do not against large bosses – the desire to fill up the titanium fatter (as well as the desire to catch the largest fish, buy Hammer and build a three -story mansion) has long been an affordable and pleasant way to satisfy our realmatic instincts. The beginning of the game finds Frank already in the arena – in a cocoon of idiotic coloring, elegantly emphasizing the belly. On the fun of the public, the hero with his bare hands should tear a crowd of zombies (a little later, however, the grateful viewer will begin to throw his weapon). There, in the arena, there are four zombies – huge boxes with saws, where the dead literally adders. If all of them are activated, then flamethrowers will include and turn the dead into coals.
Together with Frank, a photo hunt returned to the game – taking pictures of what is happening, you earn bonus glasses. This is pleasant, because at least now an alternative to dull combat pumping and salvation of no one needed whiners and survivors will appear. As before, the accrued experience depends on the category of photography (“horrors”, “blood”, “erotica” and many other genres from the arsenal of the newspaper “Your Day”) and the artistic value of objects in the frame. Simply put, for a picture of a zombie, eating a tourist, they will give much more than just a picture of a zombie.
Otherwise, the game seems to have not changed much. Surely, of course, it is difficult to say: a whole arsenal of answers has been prepared for any specific question – from “we don’t know” to “do not say”. So far they were hinting that one new location and one new game mode will appear in Fortun City, which is not inferior to the plot campaign in terms of duration. Promises of new bosses, new combined weapons and new-good-naked ones are pouring out of a cornucopia, but again without any specificity. Also (those present in the room exhale in relief) will appear checkpoints.
This sounds charming, but judging by what developers focus on (new content and joke innovations like the opportunity to take pictures with a zombie), an uncomfortable atmosphere of survival in a closed space full of walking dead, disappeared from the game with a change in citizenship. Previously, all sadistic conventions (like rare preservations and close equipment) created a special feeling of physical discomfort that could and should be overcome during the game – open a secret manhole to the nearest conservation point, pump a character or choose a particularly profitable set of weapons and equipment.

But the same, real Dead Rising – nervous, trembling, suffocating – we, unfortunately or fortunately, lost forever.

The last of the shown games was Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. According to Capcom, this, obviously, was supposed to become a grand final of their entire exhibition of the achievements of the national economy. Finally, at the end of the match, hunters appear on the map – and then there is definitely no time to hesitate, these will get anywhere else.
Now – good news. First of all, from the zombie sucking to you, you can get rid of the help of hand -to -hand combat – it is surprisingly well designed, there are even very sadistic fatalities (cut off your head, vindictively plant a knife in the collarbone). The purpose of the match is to score as many points as possible, which they give out not only for the murders of opponents, but also for the extermination of the zombies, even if the exchange goes on an unfair course of one to five. Therefore, if the enemy team has completely clamped, you can compensate for the difference by working as a nurse of the forest. Or wait for the appearance of hunters – five points give for them.
In general, playing the Operation Raccoon City is rather interesting, but it is not clear whether the game is enough for a long time. And again the matter is a lack of ideas. One fresh element of mechanics (zombies as an interactive element of scenery) for the ordinary cooperative action-this is somehow not enough. There are a lot of ways to fix this: the design of levels and missions, non -standard scenario moves, the unusual abilities of the heroes – but the developers have not yet shown anything of this. I would like to believe that they will still stir up to E3, although in general, the forecasts for the new Resident Evil are more optimistic than most of the fresh Capcom line.

A similar impression is left by Captivate: Capcom shows ocular, beautiful, potentially very interesting games, but at the same time the feeling that something very important is rotten and bad – what is responsible for the adequate perception of reality and the vision of the future does not leave inside the company. Their games are so devoid of fresh ideas, so stuck in the middle of the last decade that it is tempting to ask the Japanese to reveal the secret of their time of time. But still I would like to hope more that one day this car will return Capcom back to the future.
